Florida: Islam's American Beach-head
By Rich Carroll
Miami, the cruise ship "Mecca" and one of the top ten ports in the United
States is also one of seven major U.S. cities listed by the FBI as "terrorist
havens". Miami Deputy Port Director, Khalid Salahuddin, an Orthodox
Muslim, was a member of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakham's
anti-Semitic thugs. Today, he heads his own mosque, Masjid Al-Ikhlas,
in North Miami. Salahuddin has ties to radical Islam. He officiated at a
fundraiser for the American Muslim Association of North America, a
group headed by Sofian Abdelaziz, who was Vice President of Hamas
ran "Health Resource Center for Palestine". The website of AMANA
promotes articles denouncing Jews, Christians, and displays one link that
discusses the murder of homosexuals. The site also contains a link to the
Al-Haramain Foundation, an organization that had its offices closed for
financing Al-Qaeda. If you're thinking about floating a nuclear bomb
into Miami for "Allah", look here for an "inside contact"!
Moving North to Tampa, we have the "Islamic Academy of Florida" (IAF)
and elementary school that scammed $350,000.00 taxpayer dollars before
the FBI learned the school was part of PIJ Enterprise (Palestinian Islamic
Jihad), a Muslim terrorist group that targets Israeli civilians and others for
murder using young Arabs as human bombs. Three former directors of
this "school" were indicted for their involvement in the murders of over
100 people including two Americans. The school is owned by North
American Islamic Trust, a Saudi financed scheme that controls the assets
of most dangerous Islamic centers inside the U.S. Most U.S. citizens are
unaware their hard earned money could be used funding schools tied to
the IAF, and this egregious malfeasance continues today in other parts of
the country. If only the American Taxpayers were as knowledgeable
about these Muslim "Associations" as they are skillful at appropriating
OUR money to fund THEIR Islamic mission.
Oh, the "Islamic Academy" mentioned above? The school name was
changed to "American Youth Academy", a domestic non-profit
organization, using the same building. As stated previously, IAF lost its
funding due to ties with terrorist activity. Yet, surprise!
"Same-School-New-Name" is currently receiving more taxpayer funded
vouchers than any other school in Tampa Bay! This year Florida citizens
have shelled out $332,500.00 to AYA for its elementary program and $2500
per child for AYA's voluntary pre-kindergarten.
Listening to American Youth Academy (AYA) officials, one would be
hard pressed not to believe that AYA is a brand new school. But in
reality, only the name has changed. The school's directors STILL donate
money to the families of Middle East suicide bombers. The school STILL
operates with significant funding from the state of Florida.
Now let's focus attention on the University of South Florida, that
upstanding radical Islamic breeding facility that brought us Ahmed
Mohamed and Yousef Megahed. You remember the two "students"
caught with pipe bombs recently in South Carolina 7 miles from a naval
base that housed Muslim terrorist detainees. Mohamed also placed an
instructional video on the Internet showing how to build a
remote-controlled car bomb. This fine institution is the former employer
of Sami Al-Arian, one of the founders of a terrorist organization known
as The Palestinian Islamic Jihad. USF is also the alma mater of Mana
Saleh Almanajam and Shaker Mohsen Alsidran, the two Saudi students
who boarded a school bus of children in Tampa as a dry run; a practice
exercise for terrorizing innocent Americans. This "joint" (the author
cannot call it a college of higher learning) is finally under the FBI
microscope, but one can only wonder how many "former students" are
loose in Florida.
A columnist is like a composer. Both endeavor to produce "pieces" that
are organized and written out, purposefully fashioned to evoke a reaction
in the consumer (reader or listener). What ultimately determines the
quality of both works is how successfully they affect their audience. I
have tried, in a series of articles on Muslims, to weave researched truth
into a clearly defined thread illustrating the predatory migration of Islam
into America. I have tried to outline the intent of radical Islamists in our
country. Now you, the reader, have reached that point of facing not so
much the unanswered questions as the unasked ones. One question you
need to ask yourself is "why did Minnesota Democrats elect a Muslim
Congressman with ties to radical terrorist groups?" And "if this happened
already, (which it has), won't it happen again and again elsewhere in our
nation?" And finally, "what effect will this have on our nation?"
Our enemy, Islam, has achieved one goal: They have separated the
general public and its representatives from the one man who has been
highly effective in the job of defending all Americans. We must give
credit to our Commander in Chief for the fact we have not had a
catastrophic attack since 911, and to our intelligence services who have
pre-empted terrorist plotters. Yet even as we do so, we allow radical Islam
to define how we face their attacks; united behind our President or
fractured over disagreement, fighting among ourselves.
Media pundits try in vain to associate our combat involvement in Iraq to
that of the Vietnam War. They tend to miss the basic similarity in both:
American citizens keeping their distance. Aside from families who have
felt the sting of the ultimate sacrifice, the only involvement society
Americana at large feels are blips and bulletins on the nightly news. The
biggest casualty of any war is the TRUTH, and the truth this time is that
America is at war with Islam; not Iraq. The sooner "We the people"
connect the glaringly obvious dots, the sooner we can unite and
move-forward with a singular purpose.
